We use Specialised Machinery
Once a tree has been removed, we may need to remove the stump and roots separately. A straightforward service can be used here, involving a stump grinding machine that destroys unwanted parts left in the ground. In other situations, the stump removal is not necessary, which means that it will be specially treated to ensure that re-growth does not occur. Removing the stumps will prevent ‘suckering’ - This is where new shoots grow from the remaining stump and roots. Tree stumps can be large and heavy and will require specialist equipment and technique to remove.
We use a special machine called a ‘stump grinder’ which has a high speed rotating wheel with metal teeth attached. This is called stump grinding and will remove the stump and surface roots to below ground level, this process will allow replanting or ground preparation for just about any purpose.
Providing a Professional Service
Tree stumps can be physically removed at any time, but ideally, you should hire a tree surgeon to remove stumps after felling the tree. We offer a professional tree stump removal service using modern equipment, which minimises ground disturbance. We are equipped to tackle any size stump, from just a few inches to the largest stump. It’s helpful to consider how far you would like the stump ground - Shallow grinding is usually sufficient for laying turf, but you could opt for deeper if replanting or landscaping. The leftover sawdust can be kept to fill in the hole, taken aways or used as mulch in other areas of the garden.
Our team is highly experienced with stump removal, we will ensure this is carried out to the utmost safety standards ensuring the stump is removed properly and effectively.
